Vigorous climber

Lonicera periclymenum 'Serotina'
Late Dutch Honeysuckle

Late Dutch Honeysuckle is a traditional cottage-garden climber with large, fragrant, white and dark-red purple flowers which are followed by small, bright red fruits. This deciduous honeysuckle flowers later than most varieties, and will keep on producing scent and flowers for several weeks in late summer and autumn. It looks attractive climbing over a wall or fence or growing through a heddge. Full sun or part shade. Hardy, flowers July to October. Will grow to over 20' and can spread widely if left untrained. Given the RHS Award of Garden Merit in 1993.
