  • Pedigree:1990 - A Triploid seedling from a cross between tetraploid Hallertauer variety and a downy mildew resistant male, naturally seedless.
  • General Trade Perception: Aroma variety with marked similarities to the German Hallertauer and Hersbrucker varieties.
  • Possible substitutions: Crystal, French Strisselspalt, Hersbrucker, Tettnanger, Liberty.
  • Beer Styles: Lager, Pilsner, Bock, US Wheat, Alt, Munich Helles. (Anderson Valley High Rollers Wheat Beer)
  • Maturity: Mid August through September
  • Yield: lb./ac.
  • Growth Habit: Fairly vigorous but manageable
  • Disease Reaction: Moderately resistant to downy mildew. Reaction to Prunus necrotic ring-spot virus not yet known.
  • Cone-Structure: Heavy, tight and moderately long.
  • Pickability: Normal to good
  • Aroma: Mild, pleasant and clean
  • Lupulin: Moderate amount, yellow in colour.
