  • Pedigree: Styrian Golding Hops, also called Savinja Golding, is a traditional hops grown primarily in Slovenia and Austria. Styrian Golding is a form of Fuggle and carries many of the same attributes. Styrian Golding is an aroma variety that has a low alpha acid content and offers a delicate bitterness with a distinctive flavor and aroma. Often used for late and dry hopping.
  • General Trade Perception: A world-renowned aroma hop with widespread usage in both ale and lager brewing
  • Possible Substitutions: Fuggle, Willamette.
  • Beer Styles: ESB, Bitter, Summer Ale, Pale Ale, Barley Wine, Pilsner, Belgian-Style Ale.
  • Maturity: Early season. The optimal picking time in Slovenia is between August 18th and 25th.
  • Yield: 1100 - 1500 kg./ha..
  • Growth Habit: Moderate.
  • Disease Reaction: Resistant to Downy Mildew, Peronospora & Verticillium Wilt.
  • Pickability: Fairly good.
  • Lupulin: Pale yellow.
  • Cone Structure: Medium and compact.
  • Aroma: Distinctive perfume pine/lemon/citrus hoppy character.
